I agree that she needs SOMETHING...I have to give her something when she is in pain...I can't just let her lay there and suffer...but my vet should have KNOWN BETTER. To give her a mediciation that shouldn't even be given to dogs her size just TICKS me off to no end.  |
It might be a common thing but not all vets do it.
Because of Ellie's liver issues, she can't take just anything.
On three occasions her vet had an idea of what she should give (once for anesthesia, once for pain control and once for steroids) but wasn't 10000% sure. So what did she do? She looked it up or got a second opinion. She was right all three times and double checking didn't hurt a thing.
