Toby is 11 weeks and 1 day today. We have had him since he was 8 weeks and 2 days, and to be honest with you, you just have to be consistent. Toby already 9 times out of 10 goes potty outside. He doesn't let us know if he has to go but we just try to feed him at certain times of the day and we usually know when he has got to go poop. And the other times we just watch him very closely and see if he is sniffing around. They are like children!!! Don't worry a week after we got Toby I had myself a nervous breakdown b/c we paid so much, and I didn't think we would ever be able to get him trained. But he seems to be doing better and better as the weeks go by. It just takes time. Don't quit, your puppy will learn!!! We also put him in a crate when we are not there to teach him to hold himself. Try and be positive. I know that it is hard but I think that they can just since it you know..... |
