I always recommend that people go to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America for referrals. The YTCA is the mother club of the AKC and set the standard for the Yorkshire terrier. The members have a strong code of ethics and rules that they must abide by. Since they are truly interesting in bettering the breed, and not selling dogs, their prices are very affordable, and often less than pets store puppies. The downside is that they are extremely particular in where those puppies will be placed; for example, Joey's breeder would not sell to homes with children. If you think you can pass their high standards, see the YTCA site for referrals, you can call a few near you, and you will have a great chance at finding a dog healthy and beautiful. They probably get tons of e-mails, so I think calling might be better than e-mailing.
