I would highly recommend making sure your baby doesn't lick the stitches. Mine did maybe two or three times and when I took him to the vet he could tell
I ended up having to put Neosporin after he got his stitches taken out. He's about 6 pounds so I bought a baby onsie (size 0-3 months) and put it on him so he wouldn't lick himself. I just cut a little hole for his tail and off he was playing like normal. It didn't bother him but just an idea for your little one
