Wow...some of your reactions are way over the top. Albeit, Mr and Mrs Otto's actions are over the top, too, IMO. Still, it makes me wonder if some of you actually read the entire article.

On the surface, it appears to me that these are responsible pet owners and how they spend
their money is no one elses business. Maybe its not a decision that most of us would make, but we shouldn't begrudge them for making this decision and having the means to make it happen.
And to the person who made the "a yellow lab is a yellow lab" comment. Do you feel the same way about yorkies? Afterall, there all just dogs.
