We had a Sheltie that we fought this with for some time. Tried all kinds of vet recommended medicated shampoos, etc. I don't remember where we got the advice, but someone told us to use Pert Shampoo. It worked miracles! She stopped itching, the scales went away and her fur grew back in. You would never know she ever had a skin problem. And it worked quickly, if my memory serves me right. (This was probably 6 or 7 years ago.) So once a week we would shampoo her with Pert and she never had a problem with it again. It's worth a try.... Good luck! |
