I totally agree, it is a rip-off!! However, the under the seat thing is an FAA regulation, not the airlines. Also, I think the airlines are really hurting and they know they can charge this extra fee and people that take their dogs will pay it. It's not right, but I think airlines are just trying to make money wherever they can...charging for luggage, pets, drinks, food...it's all about the sucky economy these days
I am flying with my guys on Thursday and it will cost me 400 bucks round trip, but yep, I'll pay it, 'cause I want them with me and I'm sure not leaving them anywhere without me. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do and I guess the airlines feel the same way.
