I will say that I dont charge forty dollars for every dress. But for like the ones I recently made I would for the simple fact between cost and time i spent at least that. In all reality for us that are small time sewers the cost is much higher than petedge, which is set up for wholesale, not generally for the public. Yes we can buy from them, but they supply many of the larger stores as well. Hence the low cost. They also have companies in which the outsource all the products they sell, meaning they arent the ones behind the sewing machine. They may have great quality, I dont know because I have not purchased from them as of yet, but my time and effort are worth what I charge. like I said I have charged a wide range for items it simply depends, I was just offended by the way she said what she did, and shows how little experiance she has had.
