Blood work results came in..... I just spoke with the vet (another associate that has never seen Theo) and she said his white blood count was high which means there is some sort of infection but where they don't know...his liver count was high also which again seems like a liver shunt but still no determination of what he has has been made..I have an appointment to visit with his vet tomorrow night and go over everything. I told his associate that I would like to take him to a specialist after sending them all his test results...but she said first go over everything with Dr. Kessler and he wont charge you for the office visit...I just had to laugh at that. Hell they just charged me over 300 last night for a visit that lasted 20 minutes...they took his temperature, blood then gave him a injection of antibiotics and that was it...I am starting to wonder where the love of these little guys comes in...I told them flat out we are just about at our max on our credit card and there is no other means of income to support this situation. Gosh 30 years ago I had a dobbie that had to undergo surgery because he swallowed the cats toy and it was like $900... they let me pay it off in payments ...but now these places want money up front or they won't treat your lil ones...Pretty cold if you ask me... I am still in shock over the prices for all this blood work, it is absolutely unbelievable... I am seriously thinking of going back to college nights an work towards a vet. degree. heck a lady was 57 years old who was in my brothers chiropractor class and she had top honors...so it is never too late...I can't imagine my life with out these little guys and I can only pray he gets well and his little brother Charlie doesn't encounter the same things... When I know more I will post it but until then we are in the dark... |
