I purchased my chorkie (1/2 yorkie 1/2 chihuahua) from a breeder. I love him so much but wish I had done research on the breeder first. Don't believe what they tell you. Especially if they have tons of dogs. They are looking to make a profit and will tell you all the "key words" that your suppose to look out for when buying from a breeder. "raised in home", "part of the family" etc. Look for yourself at their surroundings (cages are cleaned) the parents, ask for the vet he/she uses and call him. Ask if there is a health guarantee that comes with the puppy. Find out if the parents have any health issues. I know chihuahua are known to have knee problems. Anyway with all that said I love my little mixed breed chorkie.
