Hi all,
I had to post this because it's just the strangest thing ever. About 3 weeks ago I bought my husband Nintendogs for his Nintendo DS. For those of you who haven't heard of Nintendogs it is a real time puppy simulator, which means, you leave the dogs unattended, unfed, unloved for a long period of time, and even if the game has been turned off the puppies will get sad and run away. Anyhow...I didn't realize it was voice activated until I started playing it the first time, and was so excited upon finding out it was, that I named my little Yorkie puppy Bender, after my real dog. Well, I spent about an hour teaching my puppy his name and trying to get him to learn tricks, etc, (at which time I'm sure I looked like a total nutcase talking to a handheld gaming device as if it were a puppy). Well, I finally realized there was this very confused ball of fur next to my wheelchair. I looked down, and the real Bender was so confused! I kept saying 'Bender, sit. Bender, sit. Sit, Bender, c'mon boy, sit.' When he was very clearly sitting already

Anyhow, I played it for about a week before the virtual Bender had to go to a puppy motel for a long stay, and we had to get a new Nintendog (Sparks), because I couldn't take petting the virtual dog with the stylus and the real dog with the other hand.
The good thing is, now Bender sits, sneezes, and lays down on the very first command (before he was a bit slow on the last 2). Seems he learned from Nintendogs
