My son was 14 when I broght Suzi home. He has high functioning autism, and developmentally at a much younger age.... he's very gentle with Suzi and loves her . Young children can be taught how to handle a puppy, however the younger the child is the more parental supervision is required for both the safety of the puppy and little person.
