My children are 6, 4 and 3 yrs old and they are INCREDIBLE with Missy and have been since Day 1. They no longer run in the house because Missy could be underfoot. They make sure their toys are always picked up. They always have a watchful eye out for her and keep her safe at all times. They truly adore their puppy and want nothing but the best for her. They are NOT allowed to carry her around, or hold her unless they are sitting down. I am beyond thrilled with how they treat her. They totally understand that she is tiny and more vulnerable then our 20 lb pug dog or my Mom's boxer. Missy can't so much as pick up a piece of fluff off the floor without the kids panicing that she might swallow it. It's really cute.
My children are extremely well behaved though. I get compliments all the time on their behaviour. My husband on the other hand...he's the one I have to watch out for...he's so clumsy! LOL!
