Default Speaking as someone who WAS a Police Officer...

I WAS a cop. I know from inside that there are good ones, bad ones, inexperienced ones, etc. Police Officers are only people trained to do a job. Like all of the rest of us mortals, they are subject to make mistakes. If and when we feel like a police officer has made an error we have the right to (and should) take the matter to court.

I fully understand that their job is full of risks - every single time they stop someone they put their lives in danger. That is where discretion comes into play. Police officers are taught to rely on instincts and somehow following a mature woman into a service station where she is filling her car up with gasoline isn't a situation that would normally put him in a life threatening situation.
