has never liked canned food, any brand. He now eats 1/2 cup of Innova EVO kibble in the mornings and 1/2 a Natures Variety raw medallion in the evening. Its the NV rotation diet (except I am staying with Innova kibble because he has done so well with it) and I would rotate with canned too if he would eat that. I used to do homecooked instead of raw, but I wasn't balancing the nutrients in it (don't really know how to do that) and it may or may not have contributed to him having an alkaline pH in his urine. Natures Variety has a website where you can read about the rotation diet, I really like the ideas behind it. And I just found out last night that my hollistic vet that I see once a year is on its Pet Nutrition Council, so that made me feel good.
