Default GME Site

I am so sorry your fur baby has been diagnosed with this but there is hope. My Yorkie has a form of GME called Necrotizing Encephalitis and she was diagnosed in September. The vet originally thought she would live a week or two. If you read up on this disease most articles will say there isn't a lot of hope. Don't believe that. My Gidget is on a treatment plan and doing very well. When she was diagnosed she was totally blind and could barely walk. She know has regained most of her eye sight back and walks normal. She will be on the treatment plan for about a year to year and a half and her prognosis is very hopeful.

Here is the link to the doctor in Boston:
MSPCA-Angell:

Please take a look. There is much information and a doctor in Boston who has a 90% success rate in putting this deadly disease into remission. The Doctor in Boston uses a more aggressive treatment than most vets and neurologists. He will consult for a small fee with your regular vet or neurologist. I live in KC and my Neurologist consulted with this doctor to put Gidget on a treatment plan that to date has been very successful. I hope you will take a look. Feel free to email me directly with any questions. This Yorkie Forum and the yahoo site have helped me deal with this horrible disease and find the best treatments for my Gidget.
