Wow. One pound at 12 weeks is super tiny. I would do all the research you can on yorkies quick before you get her. They are prone to numerous health problems and are notoriously hard to potty train. I hope the puppy is from a reputable breeder who screens for genetic health defects such as luxating patellas, liver shunt and leggs-perthe, just to name a few. Does this breeder offer a health guarantee?

As far as diet, I certainly wouldn't do anything different than the breeder does at this time. At one pound the puppy is in serious danger-zone territory for hypoglycemia so it will need to be watched like a hawk for the first couple weeks. At that age/weight he will need food available 24/7.
