I do not "believe in" a person that doesn't believe in what I believe in. I will pray for him, I will support a decision he may make if I agree with it, I will defend our country, but I will never believe in him. I don't put my faith in people.
I got sick of everyone being so pessimistic and not supporting President Bush too, so I know how you feel
Funny how everyone says we need to ban together, now that their guy got elected. I doubt you would have the same attitude if it went the other way. For me it was a very sad day. I think our founding fathers would roll over in their graves if they knew the issues the new president stands for. If unity means supporting a president that goes against all I believe in, then I don't want it.
Someone said "why people can't just suck up their pride and SUPPORT the president". Well why cant other people suck up their pride and accept that some people have their faith that they hold strong to and that they don't have to support someone that doesn't follow the same convictions. I didn't vote for him because I LOVE this country and what we have been blessed with.
The day that the US comes together and holds hands and sing songs and the rainbows and bluebirds come out I would be in fear.
