I am so sorry about little Simon! You can have the "vet of your choice" do the surgery. Remember "you" are in charge. I would certainly have someone with skill do it.

The most important thing is make sure he drinks. It's good that he will eat, but drinking plenty of water will keep him from dehydrating. Not pottying is something you should address with your vet. My vet recommended giving Toto a little canned pumpkin [no spices] and it did the trick for her. Maybe he will go on his own and this won't be a problem. Please keep us updated!!
