When I started mixing a little canned with my doggies kibble their stool did get a bit softer but that only lasted about a week or so then it went back to normal. I don't think canned food is any more nutritious than kibble. I do like the fact that it's moist because Chloe never seem to drink much water.

Both my dogs seemed to only eat the bare minimum of their kibble each day and were not at all enthused about eating. I tried a couple different foods but they always seemed disinterested so I decided I would by a can and see how they liked it. I only mix about 1 good tablespoon in their kibble ( only for the breakfast meal) and they eat every bite now ! They lick the bowl clean!

I wouldn't recommend an all canned diet but that's just my opinion. Mine are happy to just get that tablespoon mixed in their breakfast meal. They get just dry kibble for the rest and are now eating that better throughout the day so it worked well for us.
