Well from things that I've learned on this site, for a first time puppy, when you start mixing in canned food, their stool is going to become softer than usual. If you do keep mixing in the canned food, he probably will eventually get used to it and his stool should go back to normal. IMO, I don't really care for using canned food. My little one has always been fine on the dry and I've never had a need to use canned food with her. I was always afraid that she'd get to used to the canned food and would stop eating dry altogether. I'm not sure about canned food being more nutritious than dry. That may be a false statement, but then again I could be wrong as well. I'm sure there are other members on this site that will be able to give you some more information. |
