I started mixing wet food with his dry kibbles approximately 3 days ago and I noticed he's been having much softer stool than before (his stool is much harder when I was only feeding him dry food). Now I am concern the wet food is not agreeing with his tummy. I've read on a few websites that feeding Yorkie wet food is bad because it can promote bad dental health, would you recommend me to feed him wet food mix with dry food? Or should I stick with strictly dry food? If I should mix his dry food with wet food, how can I stop him from having soft stool? Thank you in advance, I am so confused and so worry that my puppy is suffering because I had changed his diet.
Welcome to YorkieTalk!! Congrats on your new puppy, they are so fun at that age.

I don't really feel that canned food is more nutritious, but sometimes these pups won't eat dry kibble, so it's good to get them eating. Sounds like he was eating good before, is that correct? Any diet change with these guys should be done SUPER slowly and over the course of 7-10 days. Most likely that extra canned food has just upset his tummy a bit. You can try some canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling- just the plain stuff) until his tummy lines out. If he eats his dry food, I wouldn't feed him canned but that is totally up to you.

You will get LOTS of info here! Welcome and I hope your little guy gets to feeling better!
