I use 36" x-pens setup in our spare bedroom. I have several I arrange so the mommas have a big area about 4' by 12'. None of my females can jump or climb the 36" pens. I put the whelping box at the far end and I hang sheets on the side of the x-pens to give the mom more privacy.
