My first Yorkie will be delivered to my doorstep on 6 Feb. Saturday we drove two hours up the coast to see the litter and just fell in love with one sweet little girl. The breeder will bring her down to us on the 6th and so I am presently busying myself with the process of getting ready for my first puppy in nearly 20 years! (I've been collecting abandoned adult toy dogs...mostly Maltese...that need forever homes.)
I've always loved Yorkies and every time there is a gift-giving occasion and Hubby asks me what I want, I say "What I want is a Yorkie, but I'll settle for a (watch, handbag, fancy pair of shoes...whatever)." Last week he asked me what I wanted for Valentine's Day and I said a Yorkie and he just said "OK." I'm so excited I could squeak!
I've read a lot of the stuff here and am so glad there is a body of such knowledgeable people available for help! I am SO looking forward to my new baby!
