I don't want to scare you in anyway, but I lost Ichabob to a tennis ball, that had been broken by the labs and Ichabob chew and shallow 3 parts of it, he was throwing up and while at the vets he threw up a piece, they did xrays and found 2 more pieces in his stomach, he died going under anesthesia for surgey.
needless to say we have no more tennis balls around here. Ichabob was 7yrs old and 15lbs.

also one of the labs became sick and because she was a military dog I took her back to base vet with the tennis ball they sent the ball out for test it can back toxic felt cover. she has since somewhat recover, I email the makers of the ball and was inform, their balls are not pet toys.
