I think pups bond easier when they are bought at the same time, but they don't bond as much with you - you don't become part of their pack.
And if you have an adult dog, the best time to get a puppy is when your present dog is a good role model.
I have personally wanted to get another yorkie ever since I got Cash, but that has not worked out, partly because I am a bit young for all that responsibility and my parents would freak out - my dad is not an animal lover at all! (The only dog he deems worthy is a Staffordshire Terrier.)
But as soon as I am finished with my studies and my year in France, I am getting a girl!!
