can i say how jealous i am?
mickey never shows me that much love unless if i have something that he wants
but when i was in korea, my cousin's dogs a maltese and westie terrier have shown me so much love i was very sad when i have to leave them becaues i knew in canada i wouldn't get that kind of love from mickey
i wonder if your dog's giving you this much love because you guys are in a new place and the dog probably suspects that your hurt (from the break up)
its strange how dogs know this. whenever i cry, mickey would come out of my mom's walk in closet and kind of sleeps near me so he can watch over me and try to comfort me.
and as for the "accidents" its hard to avoid them. mickey's 13 years old and he's been trained to use the guest bathroom aka his bathroom when he needs to pee when we can't take him out but he still make mistakes once in awhile. it was good that you said no to him as he was peeing because the last thing you want to do is scold him sometime after he had his accident because he will have no idea why you're scolding him.
and as for the whole dog crate thing, i don't know what to tell you. mickey is in the habit of peeing in the morning and at night. if we forget he'll take you to let you know that he needs to pee. i think he's this way because we always took him to pee at the same time every day for few years and now he expects to be taken at those hours and he holds it for most of the time. though once in awhile when he has to pee, he goes by himself to pee. with a younger dog its harder to train this way because they have smaller bladder and they need to pee more often.
