I would never treat a pregnant female with anything. I know that Albon given to pregnant bitches can cause birth defects. If a puppy has coccidia then the puppy, litter mates and mom just need to be treated with albon for one week. The danger with coccidia is if you ignore the symptoms. Whether you are a puppy owner or a breeder, if your puppies start getting icky poops then they need to go to the vet immediately. I always keep Albon on hand. |
