No they do not know that you are not a dog. They look to you for leadersip and guidance just as they would to their mother or a pack leader.

They do not understand human behavior, and all those words, they understand body language and dog behavior.

You contradict yourself. On one hand you say to give it something yummy to chew on to getit to stop chewing on you, on the other hand you ssy to praise it when it is chewing on something besides you.

Giving it something yummy is to reward the bad behavior.

and what are you do to if the dog is relentless and insists on following you and chewing on you, and does not want whatever else you are offering to it.

An instantanious quick correction will gets it's attention. Once it stops, then count to three and praise it.
I am serioiusly not intrested in a spat over this but it very odvious that you do not understand dog language and that you only reward after the teeth come off you not while.

You reinforce that which you want not which you do not which be what you are suggesting.

Dogs are not wolves and are not stress not pack animals they are soicla beings !! and if Ceser get is butt end out of the out of the dumps and followed the dogs to thier dens he seen this and we not even have to have this discussion he have actually done all his homework not made a big mess that those that have the education need to continually repair and set on the right road.

no I did not when it teeth come of you you mark and reward that action... and if you need to you can give it a nice toy to chew on or bully stick to get its teeth off you and give you a rewardable event.

I sorry if a dog comes up and barks at you do you think it is a human scolding you or a dog barking.. give dogs credit for the brains they have . they know full well we are not dogs and to work with them as dogs do to dogs in not the best way. We do not have the ability that dogs do in timing and no emotions.... leave training dogs like dogs to the dogs and train like a human that wants a true bond on the right footing.
