My first duo of Yorkies, Nyx and Minnie, were 12 and 8 pounds. My current ones, Tucker and Molly, are 12 and 9. Actually I sought out larger Yorkies. Not interested in breeding them and also scared that the tiny ones would get injured or have health problems. Also, I live in a harsh climate. You can give a 9-10 pounder a big hug.
When people ask what breed they are, we say they're Giant Yorkies, and others think this is an actual breed.
(Guess Tucker is a popular name for a Yorkie.) |
