Ella is getting her teeth cleaned and spayed on tomorrow....so she isnt going anywhere anytime soon.

Also the potential adopter has assured me it would be an open adoption. She wants me to stay in Ella's life to whatever degree I would like. Also she wants to some by and spend time at my house getting to know Ella gradually so it wont be a difficult transition for Ella. She lives about an hour away.

She had a blind rescue yorkie before Ella that just passed last oct at age 15 1/2 that was also a therapy dog. She used to carry her around in a baby sling. Everything she has told me about her baby sounds just like Ella. I asked her a million questions and what if scenerios and she had the perfect answer and solution to everything I threw at her. She is such a kind woman. Its probably good she is a therapist I may need one to get through this. hehe She is in her late 40's and has no children. Ella would get to be the spoiled rotten only child.

Anyway she has her home check scheduled for saturday and sunday she is coming by to meet Ella so Im just going to take it one day at a time and see where things go. It does help me to know if she does turn out to be Ella's new mommy that I will still always be in her life.
She sounds perfect for our Ella! I know it will be really hard to let her go, but it sounds like an ideal situation, especially considering that you can keep in contact with her .
