My baby has had infections in the front paws. The vet shaved his paw and pads we put him on antibiotics. It clears up but then he starts chewing on them and it comes back. The vet thinks he has an allergy to something. That's why he chews them. I don't know what, we have hardwood floors and tile in the kitchen. Outside we have mostly cement but a little garden he plays in. Maybe the soil. I wish I could figure it out. I know he is miserable. Good luck.
