The first ingrediant in many of these comercial brand dog and cat foods are corn. Dogs and more especially cats, are carnivorous creatures. Wen was the last time you have seen a dog or a cat out in a corn feild, preying on a ear of corn??? Never, unless they were just playing.. VItamen K isnt good for cats or dogs but almost all those foods have it. I hate watching those new pedigree comercials with the dogs eating and the announcers are saying stuff like. "Why feed your dog artifictal colors or flavors? Pedigree has no artifiial colors or flavors, its just packed with gooood stuff" I mean, Why wouldnt uneducated peopel fall for that??

I totally agree with this. Alot of people just flat out DO NOT know any better. For example, a friend of my aunt's who is a HUGE animal lover once said to me that Pedigree was "The Cadillac of dog food" - OH MY
Let's just say that she and I had a very LONG talk
She no longer feeds it - but for years she just never knew any better. Even the people that love their pets like children and have their best interest at heart can be totally clueless - and ALOT of them are.
