Where I live, Coyotes are everywhere. I see more dead coyotes on the side of the road then I do rabbits, And there are alot of rabbits on the side of the road. I have come n contact with at least 40 in the past 2 years. At a very close distance. I almost lost the GSD I walk to one of them when she was off leash. She chased One away and she could have very well killed it, but luckily he/she was spooked to much to turn around and attack. These coyotes will crawl into your yard and act very very submisive to make friends with your dog, when your dog follows it out of your yard, The pack will be waiting to attack.. My family were accually thinking about getting A tibetan mastiff for guarding/working purposes. Im not sur I would be able to handel keeping a dog outside all day and night, Even if it was bred and trrained to do its job
The tibetan would be trained to kill Coyotes, and wouldnt have any problem killing them without getting hurt. But i still wouldnt like having oe out there. (We have 6 acres of land).. My friends huskey was killed by 3 coyotees!
And he wasnt a small dog eiter, he was huge!
