Unfortunately, the reason all dogs are given the same dose is due to the requirements from the vaccine company. If your vet didn't follow what is written as protocol by the drug company they would be liable if your dog were to contract rabies.
I always make sure mine get a shot of benadryl prior to vaccines to reduce the chance of a reaction, and to help them konk out and "sleep off" the crappy feeling from the vaccines. I also always do it in the morning and plan to stay at home all day snuggling on the couch |

What form of Benadryl do you give and what dosage. Gracie is just over 10 pounds...a heathy sized teapot!!!!
