As I understand it...your female is 1 year & 2 months old and is in her first heat?
Yes, first & foremost, do keep her far away from an intact male dogs to prevent unwanted pregnancy. We cannot express that enough.
There really isn't any special instructions in caring for a yorkie in heat. Yes you can bathe her & groom her as usual; many females are very good at keeping themselves "clean" in their vulva area, so much so that you may not notice alot of bleeding and may not have problems with them staining your clothes or the furniture. Pet stores do sell doggie diapers to use during their heat cycles to protect furniture & clothing if you feel the need or prefer.
