Thor's former owner always got his anal glands expressed when he was groomed. Is this necessary? It seems like it would be pretty unpleasant, so if he doesn't need to have it done, I'm not going to.

I know a "fishy" smell is a sign it's needed, and while I have not really stuck my nose in his buttal area, I don't smell any fish.
