I went through this with Roxie when we first got her. It took forever for the cough to leave. She had it so bad I think it scarred her vocal chords because to this day her bark sounds like a squeak or like her voice is horse. Have you tried running a hot steamy shower and just sitting on the bathroom floor with her letting her breath the steam? Also with your index and middle fingers tap her sides gently but firmly around her ribcage about where her lungs are. Do one side a few times then the other and do that several times a day. It helps loosen anything up that might be in there. If you have a hot steam vaporizor you could run that too. Keep in touch with your vet to keep them informed. Hope it goes away soon I know how frustrating it can be.
