I think it's distilled water that you can give them that's supposed to help, BUT it has to be the distilled that is for drinking (like the Nursery kind) and not the distilled that is really only made to put in irons--I have no idea what the difference is, but apparently there is one! I changed Bella over to distilled awhile ago, and I noticed it lessen at first, but now we're back to the same ol' gunkies as before
. Oh well!! (She still gets distilled water anyway since we suspect there may be something wrong with her liver. Btw, I started out giving her the regular distilled water that is really just for irons I guess (it didn't say "for drinking" or anything on it) because I didn't know the difference, but now I buy the kind with a pink label and a baby on the front....it says "purified" water I believe and it has a couple things added to it, fluoride for sure which is in tap water anyway.)
