I'm so glad to hear they got his brother! Everyone is different, but a new puppy helps me to deal with the loss and heartache. That was very sweet of the breeder to offer him to them. I bet they will be very protective with sweet Joey and love him very much!
I hope Grandpa feels better soon. It would be very hard to be in his position. So heartbreaking!
