Wow, thanks for all the welcoming replies! And for the advice too, that is ALWAYS appreciated.
I just wanted to update my situation too:
So today I checked out my local newspaper, and I could NOT even believe my luck. There was a new post today for Yorkie pups!! I called and she had 3 girls available. I was planning on driving 2.5 hours away to see 2 puppies, but I've very suspicious that that person might be running some type of puppy mill!!! The ones I found today are literally only 2.5 MINUTES away. I went and looked at the puppies, the woman even said I could have one for $50 LESS than her asking price. So now I'm about 100% I'll have my baby girl TOMORROW!!!!!! She's 8 weeks old and $600, a little more than I had hoped to spend, but really that is a good price compared to what most people charge.
Her puppies were an "unplanned surprise", she has both the mom and dad, and they all look very healthy (minus one of the smaller ones who I noticed shivered the whole time!). So tomorrow I'll be playing with them all, and hopefully finding the one that's right for me. I'll be updating in my blog (and maybe on this post too) with more info and PICTURES soon!
If anyone else has any tips or advise, it's much appreciated still. I'm too excited to sleep, so I'll be doing as much research as possible tonight.
