I used to have this problem so when I went to other people's houses I watched him like a HAWK. Whenever I saw he was going to mark I corrected him quickly. I also started doing this in Petsmart as well. I would not let him do it.
Only after a few corrections he did stop this.

I have never tried the bellybands. He used to mark so much it drove me crazy. Now that he is fixed he has gotten alot better.
