You must have seen Cesar's show, and I'm not sure where he got this information or if it's indeed correct. He said it was due to a potassium deficiency and bananas have potassium, it's interesting to note that pineapples have a good deal of potassium as well. From what I've read there are several reasons for the poop eating behavior to occur, and it doesn't really sound like anyone knows a way to stop it in all dogs. I would be interested to know if someone has success with the bananas because on his show he was also using a technique of positive reinforcement, and if the potassium theory held true, he would not have needed to use the positive reinforcement. So, this puzzles me.
