Are his gums pink?
If they aren't, it is an emergency.
Do you have Children's Benadryl on hand in case this gets out of control?
Lethargy, sleepiness, inappetence and pain can be normal reactions.
He may need pain meds to help get over this.
Off-colored gums, vomiting excessively, swelling, unresponsiveness and collapsing are more of a concern.
He needs to drink so he doesn't dehydrate and I would call the vet to see what they say.
