Rabies shots have to be given at certain times in different states depending on the law there. All states (except for Hawaii and maybe a couple others) require that you give one as a pup and one a year later. Then, depending on the law, every one, two or three years.
The other vaccines are the ones you can choose to do or not do and choose how often.
