I am thinking it is probably just his temperment.... SInce you have anther dog, he prefers to play with him right now. But, that can all change once he gets older.
My Suzi is complete opposite. She wants to be with her humans all the time, and is a face licker! Any time someone comes over she is very excited and wants all their attention. SHe also rarely barks.. Suzi is 9 months old and so far is a love to people .
