You may need to try a couple of different methods before you find one that sticks. 30 degrees is too cold for your little one to go outside to do his business. Also, depending on how big your crate is. Most Yorkies won't do their thing in such close proximity to their food and comfort place. You may need to set up a sort of indoor run with an xpen or superyard xt to keep your little one safe with some room to move. You can set the crate in the pen and they can be trained to go in the crate to do their biz.
