My Brooklyn hated the car also...she did the screaming thing as well. I made it a point to take her everywhere i went so that she would learn to like it and indeed it worked! She and Oliver love the car. They have the buddy lookout carseats and they are regular travelers now! They love going in the car..anywhere!! Be patient and consistant with short trips...hopefully he will learn to love the car!! Good Luck!
