I have a Miso soup recipe that does not require Tofu. It has mushrooms and is really yummy. The seaweed is brewed like a tea and serves as part of the base of the broth, I really don't taste it. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know (PM me and ask me to post it in this thread). I got the recipe from Food Network online, Emeril Lagasse. The ingredients sound like a gross combo but the end result is very yummy and it is fast and easy to make.
