He will not nurse the other mom. It is like he knows. As soon as I put him back with his mom he sucks like crazy. I started feeding him with a dropper last night to help. He sucks it really good and seem like nothing is going into the lungs. I am at a lose here. He seems to be strong but still has not gained any weight. He will be 5 days old today.

Hey... I would feed him maybe every 2hrs. My little girl is 8 oz. now by my scale...by the vets is 6oz. She gains maybe 1oz or so a day. She is now 5 days old & weight 5.1 @ birth. She is a fatty and looks like a rat when you can't see her head.
He has to gain weight daily. Very important...
